Razas de "Fusarium oxysporum" f. sp. "lycopersici" en predios tomateros en San Luis Potosí

Wilting caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici(Fol) is one of the most important diseases of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.). Its pathogenic variability originated races 1, 2 and 3, as described in several countries. In Mexico has been reported in Sinaloa, Baja California Sur and Morelos. Tomato is a quite an important horticultural crop in Villa de Arista, San Luis Potosí, and for this reason, the aim of this study was to characterize pathogenicity tests by the variability in virulence of isolates of Fol in tomato farmlands of this region. 27 isolates of Fusarium oxysporumwere gathered from tomato plants with characteristic symptoms of wilting of tomato plants in nine varieties of seven lots, which were processed in the laboratory to isolate the fungus, purify were obtained prepare inoculum and pathogenicity tests. Differential varieties used were Bonny Best susceptible to races 1, 2 and 3; Manapal resistant to race 1; Walter, resistant to races 1 and 2; I3R3 and resistant to races 1, 2 and 3. The races identified were race 2 in the Rafaello and Tipsey on the fields Agro Vida and Rancho el Clérigo, and race 3 in the varieties El Cid, Hannibal, and 77-05 in the farmlands San Gilberto, Santa María Elena and Lourdes. Su variabilidad patogénica ha originado las razas 1, 2 y 3, ya descritas en varios países. En México se ha reportado en Sinaloa, Baja California Sur y Morelos. El tomate es un cultivo hortícola muy importante en Villa de Arista, San Luis Potosí, por lo que el objetivo de este trabajo fue caracterizar mediante pruebas de patogenicidad la variabilidad en la virulencia de aislamientos de Fol en predios tomateros de esta región. Se obtuvieron 27 aislamientos de Fusarium oxysporum de plantas de tomate con síntomas característicos de la marchitez por Fusarium de nueve variedades en siete predios tomateros, las cuales se procesaron en laboratorio para aislar el hongo, purificarlo, preparar inoculo y realizar pruebas de patogenicidad. Las variedades diferenciales utilizadas fueron Bonny Best, susceptible a las razas 1, 2 y 3; Manapal, resistente a la raza 1; Walter, resistente a las razas 1 y 2; e I3R3, resistente a las razas 1, 2 y 3. Las razas identificadas fueron, raza 2 en las variedades Rafaello y Tipsey en los predios Agro Viva y Rancho el Clérigo, y la raza 3 en las variedades El Cid, Aníbal y 77-05 en los predios San Gilberto, Santa María Elena y Lourdes.
